SELECTING THE SHOT: Each player must place their ball within one club length of the selected shot without improving the lie. If a ball is in the rough it must be played from the rough, likewise with sand, fairways, and staked hazards. On the green the ball must be played from the mark.

RULES TO HELP PACE OF PLAY: LOOKING FOR BALLS: Spend no more than 2 min looking for your ball, whether it went in the water, woods or deep grass.
